Why First Aid Plus?

Take a look at our list of 5 Things to Check Before You Book a Course

    1.     Is my instructor fully registered and qualified to teach this course?

Unfortunately there are some training providers that will use people who have very limited levels of experience or who are not registered to instruct! First Aid Plus only use instructors who are registered on the OFAAA website. Simply type in your instructor’s name and their registration number will confirm their status on the national register. If the name is not on the register then they should not be instructing on a course and you the student may be receiving incorrect or misleading information that may jeopardize your qualification or lead you into a potential legal situation due to incorrect interventions.

      2.     What qualification do my instructors have?

All First Aid Plus instructors are registered on the OFAAA website. In addition we are also fully registered with PHECC (Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council) which is the national registrar of all qualified medical professionals as Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians or Cardiac First Aid Responder Instructors. At First Aid Plus we have gained our experience the right way, on the streets and in emergency situations where decision save lives. We haven’t just read it in a book!

      3.     Can a course be tailored to suite my business or groups particular needs?

Yes it can. You can receive as much detail and hands on experience, as you require. Some courses are designed to deal with identified hazards in the workplace while others are generalized courses offering a wide variety of topics. Whatever you want to discuss or train for, First Aid Plus can accommodate you. We can also help you with the procurement of specific equipment and offer advice on which system of product will suite your needs best.

      4.     I have an injury or reading and writing problem that may prevent me from fully participating. What can I do about this?

First Aid Plus is dedicated to teaching all students safe and effective first aid regardless of age, physical disability of educational standards. If you have a particular injury or have with reading our writing etc that prevents you from participating fully in the training then we will make it our business to accommodate you in the best possible way so you can still achieve your goal and become a qualified first aider. Client confidentiality is of paramount importance to us and we guarantee it on all of our courses.

      5.     I did first aid training several years ago. Has much changed since then. Do I really need to bother?

First aid training like everything else is progressive and has changed considerably over the last number of years. There are new CPR guidelines, choking procedures, the introduction of defibrillators and Aspirin, recognition of stroke and many more new procedures and skills. If you have completed a course, why not update your skills. You will be more confident and competent in the event of an accident. You will also have a greater chance of employment or promotion if first aid is a skill that you posses on your CV.
